Management of Injury On Duty Claims

We will manage your Injury on Duty claims by –

  • Reporting your occupational injuries and diseases to the Compensation Fund; RMA or FEM
  • End to End management of your Injury on Duty Claim
  • Completion and submission of all required documentation pertaining to the accident or disease
  • Submitting all medical reports
  • Claiming for days off
  • In hospital case management
  • Ensuring the payment of medical service providers
  • Arrange for the Final Medical Assessment of the injured employee, to ascertain the level of permanent disablement
  • Arranging for rehabilitation and reskilling of your injured employee where necessary
  • Assistance with social integration of the injured employee following the injury

Medical treatment

We will ensure first-rate medical treatment at private hospitals and clinics.


medical service payments

We will ensure that medical service providers are paid accurately and timeously.


Medical reports & documentation

We will ensure that:

  • All medical reports are submitted to the Administrator
  • All required documentation is submitted to the Administrator

final medical assessment

We will ensure that the Final Medical Assessment of your employee is carried out by a medical expert.


Rehabilitation

We will ensure that your injured employee receives rehabilitation treatment where necessary so that the employee returns to work healthy and competent.


Reskilling

We will arrange for the reskilling of your injured employee, and assist in seeking alternative employment where necessary.

We will monitor each claim, to ensure that:

  • Case Management is conducted to prevent
    • Inappropriate medical treatment
    • Lengthy absence from work
    • Lack of rehabilitation
  • No over servicing by medical service providers
    • Too many doctor/physiotherapy appointments
    • Issuing of unnecessary devices, e.g. crutches, knee brace, neck brace etc.
    • Billing for services not related to the injury
    • No abuse of Accident Leave by employee

client payments

Sena will ensure that injured employees and their families receive accurate compensation from the relevant Administrator.

Sena will ensure that the employer is reimbursed for all expenses incurred towards the income of employees, whilst the employee is undergoing medical treatment.

We will assist with the facilitation of:

  • Counselling sessions
  • and, Social integration of the injured employee

Death

In the event of death, we will ensure that the family of the deceased, receives all the benefits they are entitled to.
