Chief Executive Officer
Ernest Hadzhi

Ernest is a Senior Secondary Mathematics and Physical Science Teacher by profession but decided to join the Insurance Industry in 1996.He worked his way up from Data Capturing to Executive level at Rand Mutual Assurance. He was appointed by the Minister of Labour to serve on the Compensation Fund Board and its Committees. He also represented RMA at the Association for Savings and Investment South Africa (ASISA). He was the Chairperson of RMA Technical Committee and also represented RMA as its Strategic Key Individual at the Financial Sector Conduct Authority. He is the founder and Chief Executive of Sena Financial Services. He has completed numerous Insurance and Management studies including the Global Executive Development Programme and Masters of Business Administration.

Sales and Marketing Director
Paul Jones

Paul started his career in retail after he completed his studies in retail management, which included management positions at Truworths and Edgars. Paul later became the brand manager for numerous well known national and international cosmetic and pharmaceutical brands.  Paul later studied Theology majoring in Developmental Psychology. Paul later founded a consulting and advisory company called Kairos Connect over two decades ago. As an advisor, speaker and business consultant he has travelled to five continents and worked in twenty-eight countries. He has consulted with more than 200 organisations in both the private and public sectors.

Paul has sat on the board of numerous organisations, where he plays a leadership and advisory role. These include LEAD International (USA and Middle East), The Nolands Foundation Trust, The Baobab Foundation (USA) ReamagineSA, United Way (SA), Managing Partner of Kairos Connect and more recently Sena Financial Services. Paul is the founder and Chairman of One Million Strong an NPC raising young leaders operating in SA and numerous countries abroad.

Claims Manager
Sharon Müller

In 1998 Sharon joined AngloGold Ashanti’s Health Division, initially in the role of Assistant to the AGA Health Care Manager and later was appointed as the Medical Claims Manager for Igolide Health Networks, the in house Medical Scheme for AngloGold Ashanti employees throughout South Africa. 

In 2004 Sharon was appointed by Rand Mutual Assurance as the Branch Manager for the North West Office situated in Klerksdorp.  In 2013 she was seconded to RMA Head Office as Acting Project Manager to implement and train the staff at the Compensation Fund, for the uMehluko Claims Reporting System for COIDA claims for occupational injuries and diseases.  In 2014 she was appointed as the national Claims Manager for Class XIII (Metals Industry) at RMA.  This appointment entailed the end to end management of all COIDA claims for employers registered with RMA.  Subsequent to this Sharon was appointed as the Manager Medical Benefits at RMA.  As Manager of Medical Benefits, she was responsible for the adjudication of all medical invoices from Doctors, Pharmacies, Allied Health Professionals and Hospitals Groups.

In 2019 she joined Sena Financial Services as the Claims Manager.

Medical Case Manager
Sue Smyth

Sue started her Career working at family practice from 1992 to 1999. Here she was responsible for medical management of patients, obtaining authorisations from their respective medical aids and billing the medical aids were part of my duties.

She then joined COMMAS which was the Chamber of Mines Medical Aid Manager. Her duties involved capturing of medical invoices for the mines medical aid and also ensuring cost effectiveness as per the medical aid protocols, case manage hospital admissions and authorising medical treatment as well as presenting motivations for the ex-gratia payments to the Medical Aid Committee.

Sue joined RMA in 2003 as a Medical Case Manager, to manage injury on duty claims providing holistic managed care as well as the cost-effective management of a claimant. Reviewing the service date of treatment, HCW discipline, tariff codes billed, quantity and amounts billed based on authorisation approvals / Govt gazette instructions and RMA protocols. Sue has extensive knowledge of ICD10 codes/CPT /mutually inclusive and exclusive tariff codes. Prior to leaving RMA she headed the ICD10 code project which was to streamline and improve the medical invoices processing functionality for RMA claims and medical departments.

Business Development Manager
Rudolf de Bruyn

Rudolf started his working career in the legal industry. He worked as the Business Development Manager for numerous law firms. During his time at the various firms, he began specialising in Injury On Duty claims. He quickly developed a niche market where he looked after employers, employees, and medical service providers. His entrepreneurial drive soon took over, and he founded COID Consult (Pty) Ltd some 7 years ago. With his team, COID Consult manages IOD’s for more than 30 medical service providers, 40 employers and 100 plus employees nationwide. Rudolf has given COIDA training to numerous large corporations, so as to ensure that they are COIDA compliant. He is also the owner of Licence Solutions (Pty) Ltd which specialises in licencing, from Business to liquor licences. Rudolf has a strong passion for human rights, and it is his drive to ensure injured employees around the country receive the correct compensation and rehabilitation that they are entitled to.

Policy Administration Specialist
Samantha Williams-Mothei

Samantha obtained her bachelor’s degree in Finance and an Honours in Financial Planning from the University of Johannesburg. She has worked in the accounting and finance sector for the last 10 years. 

Samantha began her insurance journey as a Financial Advisor in 2016 and gained experience in insurance and investments over the years, which led her to become a Financial Planning Specialist.  In 2020 Samantha joined Sena as the Policy Administration Specialist.

Marketing Manager
Siobhan Burger

Siobhan completed her B.Com Degree in Corporate Communications and Tourism Management at the North West University. Upon completion of her studies, she moved to the United Kingdom where she worked for Visage Imports, and held the position of Planning Manager within their main distribution centre in Washington.

Siobhan spent two years in the retail sector, and then moved to Recruitment, securing a position as a Senior Temporaries Consultant for Reed Specialist Recruitment, placing temporary staff members into bookings within various arms of the National Health Service.

Following five years in the UK, she returned to South Africa, continuing her career in Recruitment, with Executech Specialist Recruitment in Pretoria.  Here she specialised in the placement of Senior Civil and Structural Engineers into the private sector, on both permanent and fixed term contract.

Following two years at Executech, Siobhan chose to pursue her dream of establishing her own Events Coordination business, where she worked for five years in the events and hospitality sector.

Siobhan joined Sena in 2021
