Commuting Journey Policy
- The Commuting Journey Policy (CJP) enhances Employee protection by providing cover in the event of Death or Disablement of an Employee arising out of the occurrence of an accident that occurs while the Employee is Journeying between Home & Work or Journeying between Work & Home and any other work authorized destination including attending a Funeral or Memorial Service of a colleague.
- Accidents can happen during your commute to work and back. But if you’re insured, CJP policy will protect your financial security beyond COIDA as commuting is not covered under COIDA. CJP provides pension payments to the insured and covers medical expenses in the event of death or disablement, and even assists in your recovery and return to work.
The purpose of this Group Policy is to provide additional stand-alone cover and the Benefits upon the occurrence of the Insured Event whilst the Employee is Journeying between Home and Work as these Insured Events are not covered in terms of the COIDA Policy and the Augmentation Policy.
